CDA Seeks Another Amendment to Islamabad's Master Plan Commission

Islamabad: In order to modify the Islamabad Master Plan Commission, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has contacted the federal government once more. According to the specifics, a summary has been sent to the federal cabinet for the commission’s reorganisation.

Sources reveal that CDA has suggested the Master Plan Commission be staffed with new members.

According to CDA authorities, the Master Plan Revision Commission has already delivered its initial report and the commission has made recommendations about building bylaws and regularisation.

International consultants will be hired after the initial report to modify the master plan. Furthermore, there will also be dialogue with the Greek government in this regard.

Officials suggested that the firm that created the master plan for Islamabad in the beginning might also be consulted. It’s interesting to note that the initial master plan was created with input from the son of the Greek consultant who owns “Doxiadis Associates Firm.”
